We offer tours of the Department of Anthropology by appointment only Monday through Friday during fall and spring semesters. Please contact us in advance to schedule a visit, as same-day requests are hard to accommodate and are not always possible. Please contact anthro@uga.edu to schedule a time to visit our department. Directions to the Department of Anthropology Travel By air UGA is accessible from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in Atlanta, GA. Average travel time between the airport and UGA is one-and-one-half hours, though travel time may be affected by Atlanta traffic. There is scheduled ground shuttle service between Hartsfield-Jackson and various points in Athens. For more information or to make a reservation, contact Groome Transportation (706-612-1155). Rental car service is also available. Map The Department of Anthropology is located in Baldwin Hall. To find our office, take the elevator to floor 2A, turn right, and we will be the first office on the left. All parking deck pay facilities accept credit cards. The North Campus Parking Deck is closest and about a 2-minute walk from Baldwin Hall. Campus Tours To schedule a campus-wide tour of UGA before or after your visit at the Department of Anthropology, please schedule an appointment through the UGA Visitors Center. Undergraduate students may also want to contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in Terrell Hall and schedule an information session appointment. Graduate students may want to contact the Office of Graduate Admissions.
