Postdoctoral Research Associate AD: Social Equity and Water Research Planning

The Institute for Resilient Infrastructure Systems at the University of Georgia is hiring a 1 year postdoc position, with possibility of renewal. The individual hired will work as part of an interdisciplinary team from the University of Georgia, the Tribal Nations Technical Center for Excellence (TNTCX), Tribal partners, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers – Engineer Research and Development Center (USACE-ERDC). The project is funded by the Network for Engineering with Nature and is part of the People and Policies research theme. The postdoc will work with the broader team to develop and direct research related to Nature-Based Solutions and water resources planning. The objective is to co-design and implement methodologies and methods to incorporate a range of worldviews on landscapes and waterscapes into the technical, procedural, and operational aspects of water resource management and engineering planning. The position will be co-supervised by Brian Bledsoe, Director, IRIS, and Professor, College of Engineering, and Don Nelson, Professor, Department of Anthropology.
