An Unprecedented Exhibition at the Field Museum by Dr. Attila Gyucha

Co-curated by Dr. Attila Gyucha, an international traveling exhibition, entitled First Kings of Europe will open at the end of the month at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. Through hundreds of exquisite objects, the exhibition tells the story of how egalitarian communities developed into powerful chiefdoms and kingdoms in the Balkans from around 8,000 to 2,500 years ago. The show is the result of a 6-year-long, close collaboration between the curators, the Field Museum, and 26 lending institutions in 11 Southeast European countries.
