UGA Laboratory of Archaeology's Dr. Victor Thompson and Amanda Roberts Thompson, along with William Marquardt, Karen Walker, and Lee Newsom published their research, "Discovering San Antón de Carlos: The Sixteenth-Century Spanish Buildings and Fortifications of Mound Key, Capital of the Calusa" in Historical Archaeology. Their research was also featured in articles by the Florida Museum and UGA's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
