Saturday, November 10 2018, 3pm Lawn of Miller Learning Center What do Napoleon’s soldiers, corn, fish conservation, foraging strategies, and human diseases have in common? Visit the ICON and Anthropology’s Human-Nature Booth at the STEM-zone event on game day (Nov. 10) to find out! Interactive booths from across campus will be set up on the Miller Learning Center lawn four hours before kickoff for the UGA-Auburn home game. Expect face painting, games, chocolate, and more! UGA graduate students from the Integrative Conservation (ICON) Program and the Anthropology Department are joining forces to highlight STEM research being done in their respective programs. STEM-zone is an annual interactive science outreach event that aims to highlight Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) research being done at UGA to the broader UGA community and Athens.
